Fellow IV members,
How come the "Hard Limit" is not talked about / mentioned in any of the big websites? Shusterman.com / Aila.org et all. Is it possible to get an immigration attorney to explain this crucial issue of "Hard Limit" to IV core team ?
The research for this was conducted by the content team of IV. And as regards the big websites, Rajeev Khanna, Bender's online Matthew Oh all have provided references to IV's doc. So no need for any attorney to explain to the IV core team about this, since most of them have agreed and appreciated our efforts!

No, to re-activate, all that is needed is a h1B extension or amendment petition. An I-94 would would come along with that and that would put you on H1B status again.

Our demand should be reasonable.. The law makers knows what kind of people they want. One may have MBA or MA, and they may feel their degree is valuable to America. However it is up to the lawmakers to decide what they want.
One guy was asking whether social science considered as science as it is having science. I am not undermining any degree or any branch. We have to appricate atleast they are excempting STEM from numarical count.

What america need at this moment is innovation, research, new technology, alternate energy to overcome growing energy crisis, environmental care health care, nanotechnology, any advanced research to keep america in leading edge. Thats why lawmakers are talking about STEM.

First of all you are not supposed to involve in any of the PERM process. Its plain illegal. It seems you are taking the wrong route for your porting.
I know but when there is a chance, we must make sure. Who told u that always works.

My wife collected her's from VFS but they do not give it out the same day either at the consulate or the VFS. The earliest I guess is 3 PM the next day that you can collect it.

History channel premiered a program "Naturalized" yesterday (12/18). They covered people from so man y different walks of life facing so many different problems to get GC and citizenship. But in the 90 minute program there was no coverage on how our community is struggling and no mention about the plight of the employment based category.
Makes me wonder if there is enough awareness about our cause.

If you own more then 5% in the company you cannot sponsor GC for you self or your family members.

I'm not sure what made you decide for CP. There maybe valid reasons or you maybe misguided.
I have heard some people use the CP route thinking that once the dates get current, they will get Green Card faster than AOS route. Some people use it as a back-up. But I am not sure what made you opt for this if you knew you will deny yourself EAD and AP benefits.

But what about people with PD as early as 2002/2003? Or do we not have anyone with PD 2002/2003 who are pursuing CP?
I assume there could be 10 to 15% CP filers out of total, say, 400K pending 485 cases. So, between 40 to 50k CP filers. Not sure how many out of this would be India/China. Is this number not big enough for asking for some admin fix?

Don't miss this ship, get ur medical done in India and file ASAP i m not sure if u go for Consular Processing do u need to here or not. Its only filing 485 u need to be here. Check with ur attorney ....

I don't have copy of I140 . My H1B extension is based on I485 is bending more than 1 year. (If your 485 is pending more than 1 year then you will get one year H1 extension but some how i got 3 years)). Did you file your 485?

- Present Indian immigration statuc: ECNR, etc. - check your password. It should be ECNR if you've travelled this far... :)

I am conflicted about Dream.
On the one hand, if it passes, the illegal community is pacified for the short term and if legal immigration is taken up immediately, they will not oppose us.
On the other, if it does not pass, we might have to wait for CIR or whatever else. Neither Republicans nor Democrats care to sponsor a bill just for our issues. They will continue to talk about amnesty vs enforcement.
Unless of course, we as a community step up, meet with lawmakers repeatedly, get them to take our issue seriously............
