Hi All,
I am attending my visa interview next week in one of the Indian consulate. Sometime back I came across a website which lists each persons interview date and there visa status - approved/denied. I am not able to re-collect that link
Does any one has any idea?. Basically that link shows the status of visa interviews conducted.

I'm in the same situation. There is a 1 letter difference in my Father's name in the passport and in my birth certificate.
My lawyer went ahead and filed my 485. I did an affidavit later and sent it to the lawyer. He says he'll send the affidavit only if there is an RFE. Hope the helps.

Need a web designer
I'm looking for a web designer that could possibly help me redsign my website. I need him/her to be pretty familiar with Flash and animation.
Website will contain:
-photo gallery (photos provided)
-video clips (videos provided)
-community member profiles
-membership "join" form
-graphic effects
-guest book
-music/sound effects
-a lot of animation and graphic motion
The site will be formatted a little differently from normal sites, so be ready for a long explanation when you contact me. It's going to be a personal website and I have a fairly low budget. I need it to be $800 US or less. I'm fairly loose as far as a deadline is concerned. If you're interested, email me at stnkycheezman@hotmail.com. Hotmail has a tendency to block incoming email so you can also message me on AIM: stnkycheezman. If you'd like to take a look, my current website is OCFederation.com. Before I decide to hire you, you need to contact me so i can relay my ideas. You then need to make me a sample of the ideas that I give you, if I approve, you're hired. Before you continue, I should say that the task of fabricating my ideas will probably be a challenging one. A friend of mine got an RFE (asking for employment letter) on his I485 yesterday. Does that mean they are working on his case? His priority date is later than mine and I dont hear anything from them!

Labor/I-140/485/EB3 approved with PD of 2003. THe approved Labor had criteria that meets EB2 so trying to apply new I-140 in EB2 with the same labor. All is well except, lawyer concerned about the degree mentioned in labor is "computer science or equivalent" and I have "electronics engineering". Isn't the word "equivalent supposed to mean closeby or related as electronics engineering that we had was more like computer engineering

As per my job requirement details, it is as below:
i ) Bachelor degree in technology related field.
In the detailed experience seeked, it says as below:
i) Five years of experience with installing, maintaining servers.
ii) Three years of practical experience in routing and network security.
I have more than 5 years of working experience (which they seeked) before I started this job.
Under which category will it fall under, EB2 or EB3 ?

There is a whole thread dedicated to priority date transfers after approved 140. I would suggest you read the whole thread as its very very informative.
There are many things that have to be considered before quitting and joining a new employer if you expect to port your PD from existing case to a new case of Greencard.

Yes, you are missing something. Check his 485 filing date and his adjudication date.

But Bush has been saying for months that the country's immigration problems cannot be solved just by tightening border security. U.S. employers need cheap foreign labor, and immigrants will continue to sneak in to take the jobs, Bush said, so Congress should authorize temporary work permits to match those workers with low-paying jobs that other Americans don't want. He also wanted to give citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants already in the United States.
But Republicans in Congress took a tougher stance against immigration and have refused to give Bush the more comprehensive legislation he wanted.
"We'll continue to work with Congress to pass comprehensive immigration reform that secures this border, upholds the laws and honors our nation's proud heritage as a land of immigrants," Bush said just before putting his pen to the bill's paper.

My friend had applied for GC through B (never worked, PD-2004/EB2, 140 approved and 485 more than 6 months) and he was continuing with company A on H1B.
Company A was laying him off. He tried to go to company B. But Company B was getting folded.
He went out and got a better offer from company C. He had two choice. Apply H1B transfer from A to C or use AC21.
He chose to use AC21 and started with C. Lawyer explained the situation with AC21 info to USCIS.
Now the best part. HE GOT GC last month.

what about if one changes jobs on AC-21 and then gets married and later wants to file 485 for wife?
Is anything needed from the old employer?She is not getting married to your employer?:D No, nothing is needed from employer for dependent filing. He/she is your dependent - that's it. Just show that you filed I-485 and show relation between you.

I agree with Anders. Diagonals are always a nice draw for the eye. Also, a little more DoF would be nice because the bottom right of the leaf is just creeping out of the focal plane. Cool leaf texture, good choice of subject.

I received my daughter's and my I-797A approval notice. All information on the attached I-94s are correct, but we have same I-94# which is my daughter's old I-94#. I called USCIS 800 number. The lady who answered the phone told me that it's normal becauce my daughter is my dependent. I also went to local USCIS office. Basically they don't kown why it happened and how it happened. They say that I should send the I-797As back to the office where the approval notices are issued to see if it's an error.
Any one has this experience? Is there any problem that I use this I-94 number to file I-485 for my daughter and me which USCIS 800 says "no problem."?

This morning I saw a commercial (California Group Blames Immigrants for Climate Change) (http://www.triplepundit.com/2009/11/california-group-blames-immigrants-for-climate-change/)on the local Bay Area channel and was simply surprised, I mean out of words surprised.
I cannot believe how low these anti-immigrant groups can and will go to push their point, which obviously is nothing but full of BS, but it certainly adds fuel to the fire.
